Chryse Chaos Landslides

This VIS image of part of Chryse Chaos shows landslide deposits at the head of the canyon. Chryse Chaos is part of a huge outflow channel on Mars.

Note: Chryse Chaos is a small "bay," located at 10.49° North, 318.46° East. The land leads into the much larger Simud Valles, which lies to the east. Just to the west of Chryse Chaos (and showing up as a bright sliver on the upper left edge of the photo) is Shalbatana Vallis.
